ScienceDirect and Scopus Training

Dear all,

We would like to kindly inform you that as of April 01, 2015, Elsevier with the support of Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Albania opens a national trial for ScienceDirect and Scopus, programs managed by Elsevier, for all the higher education institutions in Albania that have expressed their willingness to participate in a national consortium, including Epoka University. 

In this context, all Epoka staff members and students will have access from the premises of Epoka University to the following collections until April 30, 2015: 

1. Science Direct Journal Freedom Collection – a collection of more than 1,850 Elsevier journals will be accessible for members of Albanian National Consortium. Full list can be found at following link: 

2. Scopus – the world’s largest abstract and citation database of peer reviewed literature, covering more than 24,000 journals, 60,000 books and other types of high quality scientific content. In Scopus researchers can not only to search through more than 55 million records, but also to track and measure scientific performance through citations, bibliometric indicators such as h-index, SJR and SNIP indicators, author and institutional profiles, and journal benchmarking and analysis tool. More details on

In this framework, we kindly invite our staff and students to participate in a TRAINING SESSION to be held by the representatives of Elsevier on April 16, 2015, at 10:00 hours, in the Conference Hall of E-Building of Epoka University Campus.
